Walk-In Cold Room

Walk-in Cold rooms are designed in accordance with customer's specifications. The design is based on the required dimensions of a given project application. The standard thickness widely considered is 100 mm, but  can adjust to customer specifications and storage product types. Doors locations and partition sections are almost freely selectable. Partitions walls, columns ( pillars ) do not affect the external dimensions of the cold room. Our customers are provided with detailed CAD drawings for their cold and freezer rooms preview. The drawings are sent to the customer at the final stage for approval before fabrication.

The Cold Rooms are built to store food and perishable products in a healthy way to certain temperatures as low as -40°C. PUR/PIR insulated cold room panels are the ideal solutions to obtain heat insulation in the cold room applications.

The core insulation available for cold and freezer rooms are 80 mm, 100 mm, 120mm, 150 mm and 200 mm. The insulation is rigid CFC / HCFC free polyurethane and the surface material can be selected as polyester RAL9002 or stainless steel or custom request can be considered depending on quantities. The panels are fastened together with cam-locks. They are quick and easy to assemble.

Wall and Ceiling Panel

Our standard wall and ceiling panel production consists of 40 (+/- 2) kg polyurethane injection density. The wall and ceiling panel interior layer is made with 0.50 mm thick the marine plywood as the main floor surface and galvanized steel sheet on at the bottom layer. Similar to the cold room wall and ceiling panels, the floor panels are also produced in 5 different thicknesses. The floor panel has a load capacity of 2,000 kg/m2. Our cold room floor panels are also locked with each other via cam-lock mechanism.

Floor Panel

The floors of walk-in room are either basic or element set. The floor element's surface material is marine plywood, and it can be reinforced with aluminum or stainless steel plate, suitable for heavy-duty use. Cold and freezer rooms can also be installed on top of level concrete floors, beneath which XPS thermal insulation foam is installed.

Our standard floor panel production consists of 40 (+/- 2) kg polyurethane injection density. The floor panel top layer is equipped with 10 mm thick the marine plywood as the main floor surface and galvanized steel sheet on at the bottom layer. Similar to the cold room wall and ceiling panels, the floor panels are also produced in 5 different thicknesses. The floor panel has a load capacity of 2,000 kg/m2. Our cold room floor panels are also locked with each other via cam-lock mechanism.

Optionally, 0.50mm non-slippery stainless steel ( CrNi, 304 ) checkered plate or 1-2 mm Aluminum checkered plate can additionally be reinforced on top of the plywood as the main surface ( see labels below ). Additional reinforced plates are ideal for excessive movements on the cold room floors and are much stronger and durable.

Floor Insulation

Cold rooms can be supplied without a floor to facilitate the use of trolleys and roll cages. In such cases, the room should be installed on an insulated surface and the door is provided with a sweeper gasket. The floor can consist of a concrete floor beneath XPS thermal insulated boards.

XPS thermal Insulated board or Extruded polystyrene insulation which it is also known as is manufactured through an extrusion process. This process involves melting together the plastic resin with the other ingredients. The liquid formed is then continuously extruded through a die and expands during the cooling process. This then produces a closed cell rigid insulation.
